It is natural to have areas in our lives where we may feel stuck, whether that is in our personal relationships, in our careers, in our purpose and in how we relate to ourselves and even to our health and to food. Feeling stuck in one area can have profound effects in other areas and overtime you can begin to feel unwell, overwhelmed, lost and stressed.

Through wellbeing coaching we aim to explore a variety of areas such as the impact of the job role on you as a professional and help you as an individual to become consciously aware of the stressors working to develop a plan for change for you and for the employer.

For public sector professionals, such as social workers, nurses and the police who are almost daily making potentially life changing decisions, they want the very best for people who use services but are often subject to high levels of stress deriving from the nature of the work, leaving them feeling hampered by working conditions, lack of resources and working with people in crisis or at times of illness and distress.

For others in the corporate world the pace and expectation can be all consuming with little room for themselves and their families. Over time, it can impact on your overall wellbeing and this can manifest into sickness and in deterioration of quality of work as a result.

As a parent you may be feeling pulled in all directions but focused on none or you may find that your confidence is not as it used or you may lack clarity as to what career direction you should take.

In Wellbeing coaching, we will work to set goals and it is recognised that people who write down their goals are more likely to achieve it than those who don’t. A recent study found that group of students were about to graduate, and they were asked to set goals for themselves. Some didn’t set goals and some did without writing them down, but a small percentage in the group, wrote down their goals. After many years this same group of students were interviewed and some very astonishing was discovered. Those who set goals and never wrote them were earning twice as much as those who never set any goals, and those who set goals and wrote them down, were earning 10 times as much as those who set goals but never wrote them down.

Most people don’t bother to write down their goals, instead they float through life wondering why their plans never work out, and this is due to the fact that they don’t understand the importance of written down goals.

What area of your life would you like to start us working on?
